LPC2106

The Philips LPC2106 ARM chip is a small, 48-pin chip that includes on-board:

• 128 KBytes of FLASH
• 64 KBytes of RAM
• 2 serial ports
• I2C
• SPI
• timers
• etc.

You probably need the LPC2106 manual, available from Philips at http://www.semiconductors.philips.com/pip/LPC2106BBD48.html.

It can run at up to 60 MHz.

Fairly inexpensive and/or convenient development boards are available for it from

• Olimex (http://www.olimex.com/dev/index.html) ($60)
• However, you could also use a local distributor, such as Spark Fun (http://www.sparkfun.com)
• New Micros (http://newmicros.com) ($80 to $120 depending on how you look at it) — look for their Tini2106 and other ARM boards.
